Celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month with Starkloff

Posted On:

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and it’s right around the corner! Your friends at Starkloff Disability Institute are celebrating in so many ways.

Most noticeably, we have three billboards all around St. Louis stating “St. Louis works best when everyone works.” When you see an SDI billboard, safely take a picture and post to all social media using the hashtag #SDIEmpowersAll.

Many thanks to all our supporters who have invited Colleen to celebrate NDEAM at your workplace! She still has time available to visit your group during the month of October to show how “people with disabilities in the workplace make it a better place.” Book Colleen Starkloff Talks Disability for a lunch-and-learn at dadams@starkloff.org or (314) 588-7090.

Colleen will be a featured speaker at Venture Café 39N at Danforth Plant Science Center on October 16 and at Venture Café in the Cortex Innovation District on October 18. For more details, like her Facebook page. Both events are free and open to the public.

Starkloff Disability Institute has created posters for all supporters of NDEAM to proudly display in their offices and community spaces for the month of October. If you would like an 18”x24” poster, please email dadams@starkloff.org or call (314) 588-7090 to have one shipped to you at no cost.

Lastly, every day in October we will post a workplace Tip of the Day on social media, so everyone can help create a more inclusive workplace. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and share these tips every day with your friends!

Let’s get excited for National Disability Employment Awareness Month!
