FestAbility: A Celebration of Disabilities makes its debut Saturday, July 28th at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. This premier event features the disability community in St. Louis coming together to celebrate people with disabilities.
By establishing a singular event that unites all disability organizations, we aim to raise public awareness, celebrate our culture and show our pride. This day of fully accessible family fun celebrates the anniversary of the ADA with entertainment, food trucks, activities and more!
The festival is being planned by a committee of representatives from Starkloff Disability Institute, Paraquad, Variety, Special Olympics Missouri, Mind’s Eye, Down Syndrome Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, the St. Louis Arc and the Center for Head Injury Services. Our event also has media support from iHeart Radio, and is being sponsored by Microsoft, Lighthouse for the Blind and United Access.
FestAbility entertainment includes performances on the main stage from TAGG Stars, DSA Rocks, Starkloff Career Academy graduate JJ Howard, as well as other local acts. Activities for families on the museum grounds will be provided by Duo Dogs, KEEN, Artists First and UD for Yoga.
We hope that this event will become a tradition for the St. Louis community and grow to cities across the United States. It will not be successful without you there.
