Congratulations to Starkloff Disability Institute Young Friends President Nicole Smith, who accepted a position at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. as their Assistant Manager of VSA membership.
VSA is an international organization on arts, education and disability. Founded in 1974, its mission is to provide people of all ages living with disabilities the opportunity to learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts. VSA is also referred to as the Department of VSA and Accessibility.
Nicole will be creating a professional membership that cultural institutions, individual workers of such and special education teachers can join to learn more about accessibility. She will be leaving Saint Louis to begin her work there at the end of April, after 8 years at the Missouri Historical Society.
We are excited for Nicole to further her career in accessibility and beyond, and proud to have had her serve with our Young Friends. We want to thank Nicole for her dedicated service and wish her the best of luck!
