Seeking Candidates for Reverse Job Fair

Posted On:

The next Accommodations for Success Reverse Job Fair is rapidly approaching! The Starkloff Career Academy will once again host a 4-day boot camp for skilled job seekers looking for full-time, professional employment from July 24th through the 27th, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

During this intensive boot camp, participants will learn how to:

  • Successfully network from a position of strength
  • Use the STAR method to tell attention-grabbing stories
  • Tailor resumes to match career goals
  • Draft their Reverse Job Fair display
  • And much more

Last year’s boot camp saw 15 graduates. “Not only did I learn a lot and gain new job search skills,” said one, “but I began to see my disability as an asset that makes me a potentially valuable employee.”

“Last year was our first Reverse Job Fair,” said Jason Hartsfield, Career Academy Associate who teaches for the camp. “We saw several of our graduates get job interviews out of the Fair, and this year we’ve refined our curriculum even more.”

“We’ve also developed an online class,” Jason added. “We learned so much that we’re also offering live-streamed classes for those who are unable to attend in person.”

The boot camp will be held at the Missouri Job Center North Oaks location at 715 Northwest Plaza Drive, St. Ann, 63074.

To register or to ask about live-streaming, contact Jason Hartsfield at jhartsfield@starkloff.org or at 314-588-7090.

Application deadline is July 20th.
