SDI joined 9 other disability-serving nonprofits to share our programs at the first annual Great Grilled Cheese Off on September 22nd in Forest Park, presented by the 50 Roses Foundation.  Eight local restaurants go head-to-head for the title of “Greatest Grilled Cheese” and all the bragging rights that come along with it, and the crowd-chosen winner was The Wolf Café in Ballwin. Other non-profits represented at the event included MindsEye, DEAF Inc., St Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Duo Dogs, Easterseals Midwest, Artists First St. Louis, the Center for Hearing & Speech, the ALS Association, and Paraquad, who also competed in the competition with their newly-opened Bloom Café.
