Pamela Mower grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Master of Science in Administration and Supervision from Gallaudet University. After working for more than 10 years as an Employer Specialist at Gallaudet University's Career Center and later as a Studio Producer at Sorenson Communications, Pamela joined the Division of Services of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) in 2013 as the statewide Employment Specialist. She was later promoted to Employment Services and Outreach Manager, where she oversees employment services, employer partnerships, and community outreach across Utah. Pamela regularly provides presentations and training to businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, and government agencies on Deaf culture, effective communication, workplace accommodations, ADA compliance, and creating accessible and inclusive environments for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. She has also served in leadership and volunteer roles with the Salt Lake City Mayor's Accessibility and Disability Commission, Relay Utah Consumer Council, the Utah Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (URID), the Utah Association of the Deaf (UAD), the Beehive Chapter of the Gallaudet University Alumni Association, the Wheeler Scholarship Foundation, and other community organizations.
